Israel Pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai (2022)

The Israel pavilion’s arch — chock-full of flashy videos promoting Israel’s windmills, high-tech advances and historic sights — came to life as night fell. Zany Hebrew music played and patriotic balloons floated.

Israel Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 complementing its theme of openness and cultural exchange, the Israel Pavilion features an airy design composed of seven tall, square-shaped gates that reach over a sandy desert slope. These thin, closely-spaced gates feature bright LED screens on the inside and a combination of Hebrew and Arabic inscriptions on the outside.

Israel’s pavilion reflects the sand dunes in the UAE and the tent reflects the openness in which Israel embraces innovation, culture, diversity and collaboration with the UAE.

The Israeli pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has a see-through effect, creating an optical illusion that has no walls. The ‘open tent’ concept was created to showcase Israel as “an open and diverse society that provides equal rights to all its inhabitants. It is also an “open invitation to collaborate and address the various challenges in the world.”

The Israel Pavilion is located in Expo’s Opportunity District, between the India and Italy pavilions. This video is a walk through of Israel Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

To me, the Expo 2020 Dubai is an experience of art, culture, food, livelihood, innovation, technology, architecture and most importantly, humanities.

Have you visited Expo 2020 Dubai? What’s your favorite country pavilion?
