Apple Inc. announced plans to hold a launch event on Sept. 7, when the tech giant is expected to unveil the iPhone 14 lineup and its next slate of smartwatches, confirming a date that was reported by Bloomberg News last week.
We’re likely just a few weeks away from the iPhone 14 launch, and there are plenty of rumours to digest. Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the existence of its next smartphone but the internet is awash with iPhone 14 rumours and talk of a “complete redesign”.
The iPhone 14 is tipped for a “complete redesign”, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
The respected Apple watcher says users can expect “new entry-level and Pro models” in 2022, and that the minor changes this year mean that Apple’s engineers have been busy “working behind the scenes on bigger things”. Cue oohs and aahs.

iPhone 14: price
There’s no official news on the iPhone 14 price yet. But since the standard iPhone 13 starts at £779 / $799 / AU$1349, we’d expect the iPhone 14 to command a similar price.
In the UK, the iPhone 13 debuted at £20 less than the iPhone 12. Fingers crossed the downward trend continues, but that’s wishful thinking if some rumours are to be believed.
September 7 event marks the first in-person product launch event at the Steve Jobs Theatre at the company’s Cupertino campus since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Apple did host this year’s WWDC keynote earlier this year; however, the event took place outside. The invitation for the September 7 event has the tagline ‘Far Out’.
Three new Apple Watch models are also expected, including the Apple Watch Series 8, the second-generation Apple Watch SE, and a new Pro Apple Watch model said GSM Arena.
